Junior high school students for Mental Smackdown are very much welcome to join the competition.
2. How can we register?
Google forms are linked in the website, just visit click on your desired event on the upper tabs for the registration details.
3. We were not able to submit a scanned copy of the ID of our participants. Can we still join NSYC 2024?
Yes. However, you can no longer join Youth Greenovation since registration for the said event requires the submission of a scanned copy of the participant's school ID. Registration without the scanned copy of the participant's school ID will be invalidated. Nevertheless, you can still join the other two events - Mental Smackdown and Syntegrate.
4. When is the deadline for the registration?
The deadline for the registration for the science fair will be April 22, 2024 (11:59:59 PM) and all the other events under the National Science and Youth Congress will be allowing walk in participants during the activity.
5. Will Mental Smackdown be the only event this year?
Unfortunately, yes. However, we are working to see you next year for the other events!
6. We are from the province and are not familiar with UPLB. Do you offer any accommodation?
Yes. UPLB has establishments that offer overnight accommodations at affordable prices. For more info about these accommodations, please refer to our primer.
7. Do we need to bring lunch/snacks/food for the event?
The registration fee for all the events includes snacks and lunch for the participants. Trainers and advisers may contact us for their meal reservation. However, you may still opt to bring your own food if you want to. You can also buy from different food establishments near or inside UPLB. We encourage you to discover some of the best restaurants Los Baños has to offer! Moreover, we are requiring the participants to bring tumblers for drinking water since bottled waters will not be provided during the event in order to lessen plastic waste.
